A special celebration took place at Shoqan Ualikhanov Private School — the "Green Future" ecofestival, held in honor of International Children’s Day. This meaningful initiative aims to cultivate a love for nature among the younger generation.

???????? In support of the National Project “Clean Kazakhstan” initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the festival became a platform for developing ecological awareness among students. Clean air, fresh water, and fertile soil are not only natural treasures but also essential elements of a healthy and happy childhood.

The founder of our school — Assel Imangaliyevna Tasmagambetova, President of the Sabi Charitable Foundation, a well-known ecologist and philanthropist — places special emphasis on environmental education. Thanks to her vision, Shoqan School is making confident strides toward sustainable development, fostering a sense of environmental responsibility in students from an early age.

As part of the festival, a symbolic event was held on the school grounds: the planting of a “Living Baiterek” tree, woven into the shape of the sacred Kazakh symbol. It was planted together by Assel Imangaliyevna and Mr. Fabrice Nevé, Consul General of France in Almaty. This act became a living symbol of hope and harmony with nature.

The festival offered engaging eco-games, workshops, and creative challenges. The “Think, Explore, Try, Reflect” format allowed children to become real nature explorers. Each participant took home a fir sapling, sprouted seeds, and a plant they nurtured with their own hands — a personal piece of nature.

A special eco-box included the inspiring book “The City Is Me”, encouraging ecological self-awareness and mindful choices. We’re confident the eco-gifts delighted all our young guests!

An environmental contest was also held as part of the festival, with over 80 primary school students from across Almaty participating. The competition helped foster creativity and ecological literacy among children.
